A catch-all functionality that is activated for a given mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. To put it differently, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped address under the very same domain name, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial in case you are running some company, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk email messages, you can combine the catch-all feature with email filters so as to receive only real email messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

If you have a shared hosting plan with us and you’d like to enable the catch-all functionality for a particular e-mailbox that you’ve got in your hosting account, it will take literally only one single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to achieve that. A catch-all button is available next to each and every email address that you have created under any domain hosted in the account. You can pick one single email address per domain name by clicking the respective button. This will activate the feature instantaneously, so all emails sent to misspelled email addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking the button once more will deactivate the catch-all feature. In case you have enabled email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary note and you will not be able to enable the catch-all feature until you deactivate the forwarding or you can simply pick a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each and every semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will allow you to create a catch-all mailbox without effort even if you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All you have to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox that you have set up using your domain names in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. Since you can have only one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will inform you if you’ve already created another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. If you reach the decision that you don’t need this feature anymore, you can turn it off by clicking again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
